Common Asked Questions

If you urgently require a designer it is possible to have them available and in your team within 24-48hrs. That said we do prefer more time but we understand that sometimes this is unavoidable.

Typically speaking allow 7-14 days. This gives us time to schedule a call with you, work through options, organise any pre-hiring calls, sign contracts and start your onboarding.

Yes, like any normal employee they are entitled to holidays and sick leave. We manage this process with your approval as requests come in. Each team member is entitled to 3 weeks annual leave, and up to 5 sick leave days per year.

All designer placements work on rolling three month contracts. All we ask is that you give us a minimum of twenty eight (28) days notice prior to your contract renewal date. This period of time allows us to work with the designer and find them other suitable employment, to cover the loss of hours.

Technically yes, sometimes no. See below:

As a basic rule any designer can start with you part-time and transition to a full-time role. But this isn’t always possible. As you can imagine 90% of our team are looking for full-time work. If you hire them on a part-time basis, which is perfectly fine, we look to find another employer looking for a part-timer also, and connect them, that way the designer has the safety of full-time hours. Win, Win. So the answer is it depends, we don’t always fill a part-time designers hours, because we are always looking for the right people. If you know for certain that you will be moving them to full-time hours in the short term, our recommendation to avoid any issue is to hire for what you’ll need.

Absolutely, there is no limit imposed on anyone you hire. It’s your team member, and its understandable you’d want them across multiple assets if you own them for consistency.

It’s never currently happened as both parties are in rolling 12 week contracts.

Our hiring service is designed to run in 12 week cycles (basically 3 months). During this period of time both parties are bound together. This is done to help you and the designer set expectations. From your perspective you know precisely what to expect, and ensure that any time you spend training isn’t lost or made redundant. From the designers perspective they have fixed guaranteed employment for a reasonable length of time. It also provides a benefit to both parties of a reasonable length of time, one that is neither too oppressive or risky.

Yes, absolutely. Quite often the skills your business needs aren’t realistically all available in one designer. Some skills certainly have cross over, but if your business needs multiple different skillsets, you are best looking for multiple team members.

Technically no. If you are hiring more than 2 designers at once, our usual 1-2 week time frame changes depending on your exact needs. Best bet is to reach out and speak to us, if required we can tailor the onboarding to suit your needs.

If you need to hire multiple designers, you can easily hire back to back, but we always suggest starting with one and building from there.

Then they are on holidays. Much like any other staff member you employ, when a team member is on leave, you are down an employee until they return from leave. We offer ‘team’ accounts if you need to offset workload at all, reach out to us.

As a general rule no. All our team work Monday to Friday, we strongly value having a work / life balance. If something urgent has come up, and the designer can help, this can be granted. Reach out to our team if this is the case.

Yes, all employees are on 12 week contracts. If you need someone for a shorter term (less than 12 weeks), speak to us about our freelance offering.

Nope. All pricing is available on our pricing page. Those prices are all you pay, it’s that simple.

Our pricing is determined by you selecting from either a part-time or full time role:
Part-time Designer Weekly Total Cost: AUD$300
Full-time Designer Weekly Total Cost: AUD$500

If your company resides outside Australia, there is nothing more to pay. If you are an Australia business price is exGST.
